The Senior Footballers ended their season with a loss in Warrenpoint on Thursday 1-12 to 1-20, a score line which somewhat flattered the winners who scored their goal in added time. Thanks to the management and players for their efforts this year which saw us retain First Division status with four matches to spare: Stephen Doran, Ryan Clarke, John O’Rourke, Liam Rodgers, Conor Clarke, Paul Allen, Conor Doyle, James Cunningham, James Colgan, Brian Rodgers, Ronan McAlinden, Sean Clarke, Declan Doyle, Kory Colgan, Chris Mulligan. Subs: Michael Clarke, Dane Matthews, Joe McCartan.

Kingdom YC has registered to participate in activities during Anti-Bullying Week from 13th to 17th November.

There was a good turn-out for our Halloween activities with many enjoying the traditional games like apple-bobbing and the marvellous fireworks display from JB Pyro. Thanks to those who helped.

The U16 Camogs lost their Championship Final by one point, 0-8 to 2-3. Team: Rachel Clarke, Rachel Cunningham, Eve Doran, Clare Fearon, Orlaith O’Rourke, Clare Ward, Cerys Clarke, Caoimhe Donnan, Mollie Ireland, Naneete Campbell, Shannagh Campbell, Amy Clarke, Caitlin Small, Darcy Spiers. Thanks to everyone who supported the girls for the Final.

The P1 to P4 Footballers had a party on Saturday to mark the official change over to the new school year; everyone received a medal and a goodie bag.

The U10 and U12 Footballers enjoyed a trip to ‘We Are Vertigo’ trampoline park to mark the change over to the new school year.

Football timetable for the next six weeks to Christmas is as follows:

U14 (born 2004/2005) Wednesdays 7pm to 8pm from 8th November.

Offers of assistance are welcomed for all the above sessions, please contact Coaching Officer Seamus Curran or call into the office; it would be encouraging to see some of the adult footballers get involved during this time.

The Fitness Suite is closed on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8pm to 9pm and on Saturdays from 10am to 11am as the Camogs prepare for the physical demands of life in the top flight in 2018 with a spot of pre-Christmas personal training.

We have seven names for a Foundation Football course and need 5 more before the course can be run at Dunavil. Also, those already with a Foundation Award should be seriously considering moving on to Level One; there’s no better time than the close-season for completing coaching qualifications. Contact Coaching Officer Seamus Curran or the office to book your place.

Well done to Orla McAlinden, Dolores McDowell, Sheila McAlinden, Teresa White, Tracy Rafferty, Louise Morgan and Lisa Fearon who have been awarded Foundation Level Coaching certification by the Camogie Association.

The Youth Club is planning to take part in the Dicken’s Day parade on Saturday 25th November and a ‘shoe-box’ appeal in the run up to Christmas. There is also going to be a trip to a Christmas Pantomime for the All Together Now Disability Inclusion group. We are also on the look-out for a few elves to help Santa when he comes to turn on our Christmas lights.
