An Riocht Senior Camogs beat Ballela

An Riocht Senior Camogs beat Ballela on Tuesday evening at Dunavil in the most miserable weather.

It was hard fought from the start with Ballela getting an early goal; it may the An Riocht girls raised their game and with Sophie Colgan scoring at ease from frees and a fine individual goal from Alana Poland the An Riocht girls lead by four points at half time. The rain never eased and Ballela came out with a point to prove, and got an early score on the board but could never close the gap sufficiently.

As the game went on An Riocht’s big players got more of the ball and a great move down the field was superbly finished to the net by Carrie Killen. Even in the bad weather the An Riocht girls showed great passion and skill and fine score taking, in particular there was good performances from Shauneece Harper, Louise Rodgers, Sophie Colgan and Alana Poland.

Team Shauneece Harper, Marie Trainor, Louise Clarke, Ella Colgan, Clara Killen, Louise Rodgers, Aine O'Reilly, Ciara Cunningham, Sophie Colgan, Orla McAlinden, Alana Poland, Maria Higgins, Ruth Colgan, Colleen Fearon, Carrie Killen.
