In the Senior Camogie Championship v Ballela, An Riocht had a disappointing day, in a hard fought match played at a fast pace, An Riocht racked up three goals, but Ballela fought back and grabbed two late goals leaving the final score 3-8 to 5-7.

An Riocht Senior Camogs gave a good display of camogie from the start, however the experienced Clonduff side pointed scores from far out and kept their tally up.

 

With only a few points in it at half team An Riocht came out firing over the scores, but Clonduff introduced the Carr sisters and bagged the goals needed to keep them on top and come out winners.

Senior Camogie An Riocht v Ballyholland

The Senior Camogie team started off their league campaign on Monday night in Dunaval with a tight, thrilling game against Ballyholland. The girls started off with points from Marie Trainor and Sophie Colgan, Ballyholland responded with a few points.

 

The An Riocht girls got a goal by Carrie Killen and again Ballyholland came back.  There was brilliant play from defence, Joanna Sloan making excellent saves. Tierna Rooney scored a goal to keep the girls in the game and Carrie Killen and Colleen Fearon battled hard. Ballyholland added more scores on the board keeping it neck and neck, but a point from Carrie Killen at the end sealed the win, final score 2-7 to 2-6.

An Riocht worked hard but went into the break 6 points down at half time. Goals from Nicole Kelly, Colleen Fearon kept An Riocht in it and an excellent display from Aine Fearon and the whole team brought it back for theKingdom girls to finish winners,  score 3-9 to 3-8.
