An Riocht Senior Camogs were victorious at the Rose Boyle Senior Camogie tournament in Killeavy on Saturday. An Riocht opened the day with a 1-6 to 1-6 drawn game with Down Division One side Bredagh, before defeating the hosts, Killeavy, 6-5 to 0-2; these results topped the group and An Riocht followed up with a Quarter Final win over Mattock Rangers before an excellent Semi Final against Armagh Intermediate winners Aghagallon winning 4-3 to 0-2 which left a Cup Final against Derry Division One outfit Ballinderry Shamrocks. This was a tight affair and at halftime the score was level 0-2 each, both An Riocht scores coming from 45s by goalkeeper Joanna Sloan, then after the break enter the youngest player on show Tiarna Donnan who collect the sliotar, drove at the Ballinderry defence and fired a bullet to send the Cup back to An Riocht. Senior Camogs lost to Longstone in their first game in the league by 1-7 to 1-9

The Senior Camogs lost to Longstone in their first game in the league by 1-7 to 1-9. Longstone were much the better team before the break and led four nil after a quarter hour before Orla McAlinden opened the An Riocht account. The second quarter followed an identical pattern with the visitors striking four further scores before Tiarna Rooney doubled the home tally and it could have been worse for An Riocht but for some solid defending by the full back line who were under serious pressure given the inability of the centre field and attack to retain possession. The second half showed an improvement with Aine Fearon (3) and Marie Trainor finding their range but the good play was undone when Longstone struck for a forty-eighth minute goal against the run of play. Aine Feraon pointed a fourth time and Emma Jane Magee bundled in a goal to set up an exciting finale but they had left themselves too much to do in the fading light and came up two points short of taking something from the match.

Team: Joanna Sloan, Clara Killen, Louise Rodgers, Nicole Cunningham, Hayley McDowell, Colleen Fearon, Shaunece Harper, Noelle Fearon, Marie Trainor 0-1, Nicole Kelly, Aine Fearon 0-4, Orla McAlinden, Carrie Killen 0-1, Emma Jane Magee 1-0, Tiarna Rooney 0-1. Subs Tiarna Donnan, Niamh McDowell, Patrice Matthews, Claire Connor, Sarah Rodgers, Niamh McBurney, Ciara Trainor, Emma Cousins. An Riocht SUBWAY Player of the Match Clara Killen.
