Across the Atlantic, An Riocht Camogs Laura Brennan and Sophie Colgan have enjoyed success winning the North America Senior Championship with the Hoboken Guards, the first camogie team in metropolitan New York in nearly 20 years, who beat Toronto in the Grand Final.

At the Carmel Doran Social Camogie match at Dunavil the Winners were Patricia Clarke, Maura Trainor, Christine Donnelly, Debbie Morgan, Sheila McAlinden, Catriona Cunningham, Christine Morgan, Teresa Allen, Veronica NcGreevy and the Runners-up Eleanor Flanagan, Ciara Trainor, Ailslig Clarke, Jacqueline Trainor, Sharon Murnaghan, Michelle Allen, Jane Eakins. In the Intermediate Camogie Championship semi-final v Ballela in Ballyholland, An Riocht were well beaten.

 

An Riocht trailed 1-6 to nil at half time and went further behind on the restart before eventually finding some form and scoring 2-5 in the final twenty minutes but lost on a 3-9 to 2-5 score.

Running alongside the JG Donnan Social Football Tournament will be the Carmel Doran Social Camogie Tournament which is run on the same principle as the Football.
