An Riocht battled hard aganist Castlewellan

What a different a year makes in camogie, last year the clubs Under 16 Camogie team only played 2 games and this vital age group for player development was left in limo, but the clubs revised new under age structure got reward this season with the 16s playing in the Championship semi final on Tuesday v Castlewellan.

The An Riocht team took the lead and played with passion and skill going in at halftime only 2 points down. The second half was nip and tuck with An Riocht hitting the side net 3 times inches from a green flag, Castlewellan added several points from frees and a goal from a long ball. An Riocht battled hard and put up a massive effort, losing by only 5 in the end.

This team have played 12 matches this season winning 10, only Castlewellan have taken points from them. The Kingdom girls wish them well against Leitrim in the final. Well done all 20 girls great panel effort.
