CONOR CLARKE ULSTER COLLEGES ALLSTAR 2014

Well done to Conor - an Ulster Colleges’ All Star Award is to rightly earn a place in football’s hall of fame.  Conor won the award at Right Half Back is is the first player from St Columban’s, Kilkeel to win an award.  This is the first year that St Columban’s have played in the Colleges Football Competitions.  Conor is still U16 in 2015.

The 15 players selected are setting the benchmark in youth football and they can be justifiably proud of their achievement in being selected as All Stars.

These All-stars are known as the 2014/15 Danske Bank Football All-stars and this is the 28th year of the Ulster Colleges’ All-star scheme.

Players  are selected over the course of two trial games, after being initially nominated by their own school to attend the trials.   The scheme rewards excellence in skill and in sportsmanship and a player who has been sent off in any game between September 1st and the dates of the trials is ineligible for selection.
