Rory Philips opened the scoring for Ballymartin with a goal after only 12 seconds. The sides were level after 8 mins 1-02 apiece. An Riocht scored their second goal after 18 mins with Rory Cunningham firing to the net to leave the scores An Riocht 2-03 Ballymartin 1-05. John Clarke added another point for An Riocht before John Fitzpatrick put Ballymartin back in front with another Goal. Ballymartin 2-06 An Riocht 2-04. Both sides added two more points before half time.

In the opening ten minutes of the second half Ballymartin added another 4 points to An Riocht's 1 to put a 5 point gap between the sides An Riocht 2-07 Ballymartin 2-12.  An Riocht lifted their game and in the last ten minutes and fired over 4 points to put 1 between the sides with just a few minutes to play.  Ryan McCullough then added 2 points for Ballymartin to once again put three between the sides with only injury time to play, and it looked as if Ballymartin would be going through to the IFC Final.  However An Riocht lead by Paddy Cole and John Clarke fired over three points in injury time to level the game and force a replay. An Riocht 2-14 Ballymartin 2-14.
