U11 Footballers traveled to Annaclone

The U11 Footballers traveled to Annaclone on Sunday but the home side didn’t appear! However we had 22 players and the referee turned up so we split into two teams and played a game.

An Riocht will play in an U11 Autumn League starting in a couple of weeks.


The U12 Footballers lost to Longstone and beat Baileghlas in recent matches to finish joint leaders of their group. We have a tournament in Rostrevor on Sunday 14th September.

The U12 Footballers had Bosco as visitors to Dunavil on Sunday and ran out winners.

The U12 Footballers beat Bosco 6-7 to 1-8 to remain unbeaten in Division 2B.

The U12 Footballers beat Atticall with good performances from Curtis Flanagan in goals, Conor Kelly and Ryan Mackey in defence and Jack Rodgers and Reece Flanagan at centre field.

The U12 Football match with Bosco did not take place due to the heavy rain.

The Brian O'Hare Cup & Shield U12 Football 9-a-side tournament with 28 teams from 8 different counties took place at Dunavil on Saturday with Kilmacud Crokes winning the Cup beating Fingallians in an exciting all Dublin final and Saul taking the Shield after a close match with Longstone. Thanks to all the helpers who made the day a success and to the participating teams for playing all 84 games over a five hour period in the right spirit. One last big effort is required from everyone this Saturday for the Adrian McAlinden Cup & Shield which brings our series of underage football blitzes to a close.

Brian O'Hare Cup & Shield Details

The Brian O'Hare Cup & Shield U12 Football 9-a-side tournament will take place at An Riocht (Down) on Saturday 31st May; Cup holders Kilmacud Crokes, Shield holders Patrick Sarsfields Belfast. The first games throw in at 10.30am, the knock out stages begin at 1.30pm with the Shield Final at 2.45pm and the Cup Final at 3pm; each team is guaranteed a minimum of 4 matches.
