U11 Footballers finished their campaign with a match in Burren

An Riocht U11 Footballers finished their campaign with a match in Burren on Sunday morning and continued to display improved form to end the season on a positive note.

U11 Football match at Dunavil this week v Warrenpoint

At the U11 Football match at Dunavil this week v Warrenpoint, An Riocht had 24 players and again everyone got game time.  While the result may have gone against our team it is encouraging to see so many players available and so many coaches there to help them.

After the U11 match, the U8 squad played Rostrevor in a friendly or to be exact three friendlies because both teams had so many players available. Again a good sign for the future and enough coaches available to take the teams.

U11 Football V Burren

At the first U11 Football match of the week, Burren were that bit more advanced than our boys and girls but again everyone got game time with a whole new team taking the field for the second half and enjoying playing under the lights at Dunavil; then in Ballyholland, our numbers were again high with the home side just pipping us in the closing stages.

The U12 boys and girls played at half time in the IFC Final on Sunday, thanks to those who looked after them.

U11 footballers had two games v Ballyholland and Warrenpoint

An Riocht U11 footballers had two games v Ballyholland and Warrenpoint (thanks to both clubs for facilitating our requests to change the day of the matches due to other Club activities).

 

Against Ballyholland An Riocht had 28 players available and everyone got game time during a 5-12 to 3-12 win under the Dunavil lights while at Moygannon An Riocht were beaten 2-9 to 0-3 but again all 27 players who travelled enjoyed game time.

At the U12 Football at home v Clonduff, An Riocht lost 4-4 to 4-19.

U12 footballers visited Rostrevor

An Riocht U12 footballers visited Rostrevor on Sunday for the Donard Murphy Memorial Cup enjoying matches with Longstone, Clann Na Banna, Shamrocks and Mayobridge. Team Ryan Cunningham, Rhys Curran, LorcanDonnan, Curtis Flanagan, Reece Flanagan, Michael Greenan, Eoin Killen, DarraghMcAlinden, Matthew McCartan, Ben Matthews, Jerry Lee McVeigh, Ryan Quinn, Shane Quinn.

An Riocht won the U12 Football in Ballyholland 5-4 to 1-4 on Sunday morning.

U12 footballers visited Mayobridge

An Riocht U12 footballers visited Mayobridge on Sunday morning in their final league match and put in a good performance losing by five, 2-6 to 2-11.

The U12 Footballers won at home v Bosco by 2-11 to 2-10. Team Jerry Lee McVeigh, Ryan Cunningham, Ben Matthews, Lorcan Donnan, Curtis Flanagan, Ryan Quinn, Reece Flanagan, Eoin Killen, Darragh McAlinden, Mathew McCartan, Shane Quinn.

The U12 Footballers were at home v Rostrevor on Sunday, and it was good to see the boys efforts rewarded with a win. Team: Jerry Lee McVeigh, Ryan Cunningham, Curtis Flanagan, Michael Greenan, Rhys Curran, Ryan Quinn, Reece Flanagan, Lorcan Donnan, Eoin Killen, Shane Quinn, Matthew McCartan.

 

Also on Sunday the U10 Football were in Killeavy playing in the Michael Doran Memorial tournament,

U12 Footballers played Mayobridge at Dunavil

The U12 Footballers played Mayobridge at Dunavil on Sunday and did really well for the first half but ran out of steam after the break.

U12 Football in Shamrocks

At the U12 Football in Shamrocks, An Riocht played some great stuff to come away with the win, 2-9 to 1-10.

 

Everyone played extremely well none more so that Ryan Cunningham, Lorcan Donnan, Jerry Lee McVeigh and Reece Flanagan.
