An Riocht U14 Footballers - Past News 2013

South Down U14 League Div 3: Round 1 - St John Bosco 3-5 V An Ríocht 7-9

The U14 football team opened their league campaign with a visit to Bosco on Monday and came away with a 7-9 to 3-5 win, a really creditable display given we have only six U14 players and over half the team is U12.

John Joe Eakins in goals was the hero saving a penalty and there were other top class defensive displays from Philip Curran and Christopher Flanagan; Conor Clarke and Ronan Campbell did well at centre field while Cory McCormack and Paddy McComiskey caught the eye up front.

JJ Eakins; C Flanagan, P Curran, E Sloan, C Campbell, Cormac Clarke, Conor Clarke 1-3, R Campbell 1-2, M Carvill 1-1, A Gribben, 1-0 C McCormack 1-1, J Rodgers 2-0, P McComiskey 0-2, C Kelly, J Cunningham.
