There was a good attendance at the first night of coaching for P1 to P4 coaches; it’s not too late to join in, just turn up on the night and you will be more than welcomed.

St Patricks of Donabate Dublin were welcome visitors to Dunavil

St Patricks of Donabate Dublin were welcome visitors to Dunavil at the weekend and played out a thrilling match which An Riocht just edged 6-12 to 5-9, there were signs during the hour that we do have players progressing along our ‘player pathway’ which is encouraging for both players and coaches.

 

After the match Sean O’Rourke, Football Chairman, made a small presentation to Enda Finnan of St Patricks; thanks to everyone who helped make the occasion so memorable.

The An Riocht U10 Footballers played in the Moy Tournament on Saturday, thanks to the coaches and parents who travelled.

In the South Down P3/P4 Football Blitz at Dunavil, An Riocht had two teams and enjoyed games with Saval, Drumgath, Longstone and Atticall.

P5/P6 Football tournament in Celbridge County Kildare

 

At the P5/P6 Football tournament in Celbridge County Kildare, An Riocht had two teams who enjoyed games with Fingallians (Dublin), Austin Stacks (Kerry), Castletown (Meath), St Lomans (Westmeath), Round Towers (Dublin) and Leixlip (Kildare).

At the P5/P6 Go Games in Warrenpoint, An Riocht had two teams in action playing matches with Burren, Ballyholland, St Michaels and Warrenpoint.

The U10 Footballers were victorious in Ballymartin on Monday past to win the Mourne League.

The U10 Footballers had Ballymartin as visitors to Dunavil on Monday and recorded another win.

Twenty teams from took part in the Adrian McAlinden U8 Football 11-a-side Tournament

Twenty teams from took part in the Adrian McAlinden U8 Football 11-a-side Tournament at Dunavil with Bellaghy Wolfetones (Derry) pipping Mullahoran (Cavan) for the Cup and Culloville Blues (Armagh) edging Naomh Colmcille (Meath) in the Shield; each player received an identical medal.

 

An Riocht had two equal ability teams taking part and both reached the knock-out stages. Thanks to all the volunteers who came together to make the day a success.

The P5/P6 Football match at home v Glasdrumman was an exciting affair which An Riocht just edged before a good attendance on Monday past.

At the U10 Football away v Glasdrumman, An Riocht won again and as always every child got a game.
