In the Basketball NI Premier League Kilkeel Knights beat the Ulster Elks 87 to 72 in an exciting match at Jordanstown. Although the end score margin was quite big it remained a one-point game through most of the third and fourth quarters in a hard fought battle. The Knights started out on fire winning the first quarter 31 to 20 and then won the second quarter by a point to make the score 43 to 31 at halftime.

The Elks had a strong third quarter to cut the lead down to five making it 67 to 62 at the end of the third. In the fourth quarter the Elks gained the lead, but hot shooting from the Knights proved to be too much for the Elks as the Kilkeel side kept their play-off hopes alive. The Knights finish with a home tie v North Star from Derry at 5pm on Sunday 20th March.
