The coaching course for U14 & U16 Football coaches ended last week, well done to Paddy Cordell and Turlough Eastwood who completed the three-week programme and thanks to Gareth Thornton and Mark Poland for their input.

 

Youth Support worker Noeleen attended training for Lifemaps, a resource for youth workers to use with young people to promote positive mental health and wellbeing

 

An Riocht membership fees are now due: Family (2 adults & unlimited U18) £60, Adults £25, Senior Citizens & U18 £10. It is intended to complete registration by 14February so anyone not signed up yet please do so asap.

 

The An Riocht Pharmacy Project for older people will resume in February after the holiday break.

 
 

There will be an indoor football tournament at Dunavil during the mid-term break from 12pm to 4pm on Friday 19th February.

 

A Red Cross First-aid course has been arranged at Dunavil for Monday 7th March from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, places are limited so book yours asap.

 

The Senior Camogs have arranged a training weekend on 11th and 12th March.

 

The Adult Footballers and Camogs have arranged Lip Sync Battle for Saturday 19th March.

 

Following the most recent Camogie committee meeting we are on the lookout for a Camogie Coaching Officer and a Camogie Schools Officer.

The main role of the Coaching Officer is to promote best practice in coaching and games development in the Club, helping to ensure that there is a regular programme of games for all players and an available Coach Education pathway for coaches.

The main responsibilities of the Schools Officer are to liaise with the local schools to promote Go-Games in the school and foster a Club-School link.

Anyone who may be interested should contact the Club for a chat and further details.

 

Well done to Thomas Sloan and Liam Rodgers who played for Mourne Minors in the final Down trial match on Saturday in Belfast, Thomas captained Mourne to victory.

 

 

Good Luck to Martin Clarke whose Queens side play in the Sigerson Cup in Limerick on Thursday; to Conor Clarke whose St Pauls side play in the MacRory Cup this week; to the An Riocht ‘8’ who play for St Louis in their All Ireland Camogie semi-final on Saturday.
