Club Notes 22 AUG 2014

Harmony Community Trust Glebe House visited the club on Wednesday as part of a cross community initiative when a group of young people tried gaelic football and camogie for the first time; earlier in the summer a group from the club enjoyed a residential at Glebe House.

To help keep our kitchen and toilet facilities in tip top shape, we are hoping for 24 names which means all anyone has to do is 1 hour every 6 weeks with a group of 4 people. See An Riocht Facebook for details or call into the club.

New Cookery Programme for young people starting Tuesday 13th September; Everyday Meals for Young People on a budget, work with a professional chef to feed yourself for the week.

A Chara

The purpose of this e mail is two-fold

Firstly

I am asking if personnel within your Club would be available to assist as Match Day Stewards in Pairc Esler on this coming weekend at the Senior Championship Quarter Finals.

If anyone within your Club would be interested then could you please forward me their contact details, stewards would need to be available from 6pm on Friday and/or from 5.45pm on Sunday or if they are only available on one of these days all offers of assistance are welcome.

Secondly

I am attaching details here of an upcoming course for people who would like to assist as Stewards at Match Days in Down in 2017.

The course will run for 5 sessions and will be held within Down, beginning in early November; each session/module has a brief written assessment; the first 4 sessions will cover the content of each module and the 5th session will be used for completing assessments. Each session will take 3 hours.

This qualification is recognised by DCAL & Croke Park and is funded by SportNI & Ulster GAA
