Wake the Giant will be held in Warrenpoint on Sunday 21st August from 2/5pm

Wake the Giant will be held in Warrenpoint on Sunday 21st August from 2/5pm. Wake the Giant will have street based activities and entertainment, parades, and a celebration of local foods, arts and crafts. The theme of the festival is based on the rich heritage of myths and legends around Carlingford Lough. It is said this was the inspiration for the ‘Chronicles of Narnia’ by CS Lewis.

The artist wants to meet everyone interested in participating in the festival to work on how we plan on 'Waking the Giant’. Could it be by music or dance, or even throwing things at him? The group can get creative!  The artist will help bring our ideas to life. This can be done through 2 × 4 hour sessions. The dates available are from 6pm on Fridays 5th & 12th August. This is an opportunity for everyone interested who does not usually attend the Youth Club to come along and get involved.
