  • The Executive Committee and members of An Ríocht are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Desmond ‘Dutch’ Gibson, father of Dessie, former player and Club Consultant. We would like to express our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to the extended family circle. May he rest in peace.

Week 19 Home Bingo (purple) is on sale now from Morgan’s Newsagents, McVeigh’s Costcutter, Rafferty’s Garage and Dunaman Food Store and a number of individuals. If you could sell as few as 5 Home Bingo each week, it would be a tremendous help. Thank you for your support.

  • Anyone with an unused camogie/hurling helmet, the club would gratefully accept it to pass onto a child, so please give us a call if you can help.

  • Many thanks to Martin Clarke for coming down to coach our U11.5 boys last week at training. They loved the session with some great tips and advice on how to improve their game. The former An Ríocht and Down All Ireland Minor star proved he still has all the skills when he accepted a challenge from the boys with a shot from the sideline. Straight over the bar! Martin finished with a question and answer session, and the boys had some great questions about his playing days with An Riocht and his experiences in Australia. Thank you for your time, Martin!

  • Thank you to our U15 Footballers who have raised the astonishing amount of £1,050 in aid of The Well! Thank you all for the help; special mention to parents, players and the community for donations. Thanks to Curtis Flanagan and Patrick Rooney for behind the scenes organising the gear and fundraising for the players. We are all very grateful for everyone’s efforts.

  • Good Luck to our club referee Gavin Finnegan this weekend in the Ulster Final! Gavin began his career back in 2014 when he started refereeing Ladies Gaelic Football in Down. Then two years later, he was accepted onto the Ulster Provisional Panel in 2016 and National Panel in 2020. Since then, Gavin has taken charge of U14, U16 and Minor Ulster Finals and last year’s Ulster Senior Semi-Final. Gavin this year also took control of the National League Division 3 Final between Roscommon and Wexford. In the previous five years, he has also taken charge of the Minor, Junior, Intermediate and Senior Ladies Down Club Championship Finals. 2022 has been a fantastic year in Gavin’s refereeing career, and this Sunday Ulster Ladies Senior Championship Final between Donegal v Armagh will be the highlight and a most incredible honour to date. Good Luck, Gavin and your team of umpires Barney Mc Cartan, Pascal Morgan, Christopher Morgan & Eddie Cuthbert (Mayobridge).

At Grange Primary School, a group of 20 talented girls have been working hard developing their skills at After School Camogie with Miss Fearon. Well done, girls.
