Well done to home bingo winner Stephanie Cunningham. Get your bingo from the club, selected
sellers, PJ Morgan’s or McVeigh’s Costcutter. We have seen a dip in sales recently so anyone that
can support us by selling or buying a bingo each week is really appreciated.
A fortnight ago, we launched our ‘Get to know your Community Pharmacist’ programme supported by
Community Development and Health Network. This programme is aimed at parents of underage
camogie players and will cover topics such as lifestyle, healthy eating and childhood illness. Why not
pop in and learn more this Sunday while your young person is at camogie training from 10:30-
11:30am. To sign up contact Leah Rice, Lisa Small or email secretary.anriocht.down@camogie.ie
On Friday we wrapped up our camogie and hurling summer camp with a red and black day and
special presentation. We were joined by Megan and Darragh from the Down All Ireland u23 winning
team and Aoife McDowell. A huge thank you to everyone that helped organise and to all our coaches
who made the week so enjoyable for all the children. A special thanks to Newry, Mourne and Down
District Council for their support and to Caoimhe for visiting Dunavil. Over 80 kids had an unbelievable
week, and we can’t wait to do this all again next summer!
Congratulations to An Ríocht camog Aoife McDowell on her Irish News All Star nomination.
Congratulations to Sara, Emily, Eva, Kasey and Chloe who took part in the Down activity’s day in
Croke Park recently. What an amazing experience for the girls!
