Well done to home bingo winners Jackie Cunningham. Get your bingo from the club, selected sellers,
PJ Morgan’s or McVeigh’s Costcutter. We have seen a dip in sales recently so anyone that can
support us by selling or buying a bingo each week is really appreciated.

Our Under 14 footballers travelled to Kilclief last Wednesday for their last away game of the Spring
campaign. A lot of these girls had battled out a fantastic camogie match the night before at An Ríocht
so for both teams to play out the match they did is a credit to both squads of girls. The home side
started the better and took an early lead but for some tough defending and goalkeeping from our girls
Kliclief could have been more ahead. Our early nerves started to settle, and our girls started to crawl
back with some fine scores to go in a few points down at half time. The girls led the half time talk and
some changes made to positions and a different side came out in the second half. That second half
was probably the best we played all season. All players played a part despite a couple of key players
injured and some just back from illness putting in a shift. Captain was our amazing Keevie. Thanks to
Kilclief and the referee. One last home game for this Spring League.

U12 footballers had two great games against Rostrevor and Annaclone last week.

Last week our p5/6 camogs enjoyed a quick game at half time in our senior game v Mayobridge in
Dunavil. It was fantastic to see all the skills that the girls have been learning at training! Thanks to the
p5/6 coaches for arranging this and to the parents for bringing the girls out for the evening and
supporting our senior team. Thanks to Hugh Pat for refereeing. The young camogs finished the
evening with a lovely group photo with our senior girls.

Underage camogie from u6 – u16 continues Sunday mornings with Club Coach Anthony O’Brien. Has
your young person played before and hasn’t returned this season? Maybe your young person has
never played camogie before? We’d love to see old and new players join in. Message our Facebook
page or email secretary.anriocht.down@camogie.ie for more details.
