This Week’s Results

The u14 Og Footballers won away in Saval 2-10 to 2-6.

The u18 Footballers lost away v Warrenpoint 2-7 to 0-11.

The Senior Camogs lost 2-4 to 1-5 away v Liatroim. Match Ball kindly sponsored by Gavin Finnegan

The u16 Footballers lost 5-6 to 0-6 away v Drumgath.

The Senior Footballers won their third match in succession, this time ending Bryansford’s unbeaten run on a 1-14 to 0-15 score. An eighth minute Ryan Mackey goal off a superb long range Declan Doyle pass gave An Ríocht the confidence to go on and express themselves and they played some exciting football with Ronan McAlinden’s flawless free taking and Luke Quinn’s high fielding features. Bryansford had not arrived at Dunavil as league leaders for no reason and they refused to buckle contributing to a great spectacle for the large attendance, twice reducing the home advantage to the minimum but An Ríocht’s superior team play ensured the result went the way of the Mourne men. Match Ball kindly sponsored by Gavin Finnegan.

An Riocht returned to the top of the Premier Reserve Football league with a 3-11 to 2-6 win away v Banbridge thanks to goals from Eoin Sloan, Daegan Cordell and Grazvydas Gricus.

At the p5/p6 Camogie Blitz at Dunavil, An Ríocht (2), Kilcoo, Longstone, Ballela, Shamrocks and Atticall played a total of 21 games, each team having 6 ten minute matches.

At the u15 Camogie Feile in Portaferry, An Ríocht were grouped with Kilclief, Carryduff and Warrenpoint and were edged out by the city side in the Final.

The u12 Footballers played away in Clonduff on Sunday
