On Saturday the Reserve Footballers had a walk over Banbridge.

Also, on Saturday the u12 Camogie played a league fixture in Kilcoo and eight teams took part in the An Riocht p5/p6 Camogie Blitz at Dunavil on Saturday – Atticall, Castlewellan, Kilcoo, Mayobridge, Shamrocks, Warrenpoint and two from An Ríocht – playing 27 games over two hours. Thanks to everyone who helped out.

There were two u12 Football games at home on Sunday v Clonduff and v Bosco.

An Riocht u12 footballers travelled to Clann Na Banna for the Collie Campbell memorial cup tournament on Saturday. An Ríocht Gaels put on a fine display of football during the group stages and fell just short in the semi-final of the Shield to Carryduff. An Ríocht came through the group stages undefeated playing some of their best football of the year, with wins over Clann Na Banna, Mayobridge Gaels and St Peter’s. An Ríocht headed to the cup semi-final against a very strong Mayobridge side. The two teams put on a fine display of football with An Ríocht edging it at the end. An Ríocht then faced Annaclone in the Cup Final. An Ríocht started the game strong but kicked a few wides early on. This gave encouragement to the Annaclone side who took full advantage with an early lead. It then turned into a battle of top defending from both sides. With some fine through the hands passing up the field the ball eventually found the back of the Annaclone net. There was a late push from Annaclone but some top defending from An Ríocht meant that they were able to hang on for the win. Huge thanks to Clann Na Banna for the invite. Thanks to the Hennity family for their sponsorship of the match ball for the tournament.

The u14 LGFA were away v Bright.

From Saturday 6th July there is a change to juvenile football – 10am to 10.45am pre1 & p1 and from 10.45am to 11.30am p2, both sessions in the Sports Hall.
