This Week’s Results
An Ríocht u12 Footballers had an unusual league fixture when the Gaels and the Ogs played each other on a sunny Sunday morning. An enjoyable, competitive game of football was played and both sets of players gave their all in an evenly matched affair with both sides scoring loads of goals and points. Big thank you to Ciara’s Beauty & Piercing Cabin for sponsoring the match ball.
The u14 Footballers won away v Rostrevor 5-10 to 1-9.
The u14 Ogs won 7-8 to 0-3 at home v Teconnaught.
The u18 Footballers won at home 2-8 to 1-7 v Liatroim.
The u18 Camogie enjoyed a Challenge game away v Castlewellan. Anyone looking games, An Ríocht are up for it. We can play strict u18 or add in senior subs to give a game to any Junior teams looking matches.
The Senior Camogie at home v Ballycran came to an abrupt finish when the referee could take no more stick
from the visitors and blew the game off at half time. Match sliotar kindly sponsored by the Small Family
Ballymagart.
The u16 Footballers lost at home v Tullylish, An Riocht scored well, 1-16 a healthy return but for the second successive game conceded five goals, it finished 1-16 to 5-12.
The Senior Footballers rich vein of form continued away v Saval on Friday with a 1-11 to 1-10 victory. Ronan McAlinden was again impeccable from placed balls while Rory Cunningham stepped up with 0-4 from play, attacking wing back Cormac Clarke slammed in the goal and Declan Doyle took on the responsibility to kick the winning score from distance two minutes into added time. Match ball kindly sponsored by Patricia Clarke & Family.
In the Premier Reserve Football home v Loughinisland, we were unable to complete a double having won away at McCartan Park on the opening day of the season. This time it was the Blues who triumphed 3-12 to 1-9 after a very disjointed display by An Riocht lacking energy. We scored the last four points to give a better look to the final score and it could have been worse but for some excellent shot stopping from Curtis Flanagan in goals.

Dunavil hosted the Primary age Hurling Blitz on Saturday, thanks to everyone who helped in the prep and on the day, it’s great to see hurling established at Dunavil again.
The u12 Camogie Blitz was off as a suitable venue was not forthcoming.
The u12 Footballers had 3 weekend games home v Burren, Gaels away v Kilcoo and Ogs home v Mayobridge.
The u14 Girls Footballers enjoyed the long trip to East Belfast.
The Reserve Footballers failed to field in East Belfast
